Stefan Gromnicki is a solicitor and Associate at MJH Law Firm. He specialises in litigation, in particular in cases involving broadly understood civil law, including commercial and corporate disputes.
He gained his professional experience in the Litigation and Arbitration team at Dentons and in the Litigation Office of the Legal Department of one of the largest banks in Poland. He has participated in complex court and arbitration proceedings, including disputes concerning infrastructure investments, the energy sector and the financial sector.
As part of his practice, he represented an international construction consortium in a dispute against the State Treasury – General Director of National Roads and Motorways, concerning claims related to the construction of one of the largest motorways in Poland. He has collaborated on precedent-setting disputes concerning the invalidity of long-term sales agreements for so-called green certificates and in proceedings for the recognition and enforcement of an LCIA arbitration award, linked to multi-threaded security, restructuring and a series of fraudulent conveyance claims. He also has experience in representing clients in cases concerning loan agreements, including so-called Swiss franc cases.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. As part of the Erasmus Plus programme, he also studied at the Faculty of Law at Julius Maximilian University in Würzburg. He speaks English and German.
