Maciej Irzyk specialises in competition law. He advises private and public entities on matters including agreements restricting competition, state aid, consumer law and merger control, and participates in court proceedings and proceedings conducted by the Polish competition authority.
He gained experience at the Krakow office of SPCG (T. Studnicki, K. Płeszka, Z. Ćwiąkalski, J. Górski sp.k.) and during an internship at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Competition (participating in proceedings in cartel cases).
He graduated in law from the Jagiellonian University. He also studied at Utrecht University, St. Petersburg State University and LUMSA University in Rome.
In 2025, he passed his professional exams with distinction and began practising as a legal adviser.
