MJH advised Lagardère Travel Retail on the acquisition of the Costa Coffee chain in Poland and Latvia.

Law firm Moskwa, Jarmul, Haładyj i Partnerzy – Adwokaci i Radcowie Prawni spółka partnerska advised Lagardère Travel Retail on a transaction whereby, subject to certain conditions, Lagardère Travel Retail will acquire from Costa Coffee (part of the Coca-Cola group) the companies operating Costa Coffee cafés in Poland and Latvia.

As a result of the transaction, Lagardère Travel Retail will take over the operations of 145 Costa Coffee cafés.

The scope of the law firm's work included comprehensive transaction advisory, including conducting due diligence, structuring the transaction and negotiating the share purchase agreement.

The transaction was led by partners Paweł Moskwa, Jan Jarmul and Łukasz Błażejczyk.

Costa Coffee was founded in 1971 in London by Italian brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa. It currently operates in 41 countries around the world, with over 2,700 coffee shops in the United Kingdom and 1,100 in other countries.
